Hi, here are some photos of my breeding aviary and some of the pairs and young.

I have six pairs in this aviary and all get on well together {some of them to well} not always do i get the results i was expecting.

very cute birds.

 

Since the young are now fledged, you will need to remove the nesting opportunities. they will try and breed, and it will end up killing the hens as the strain on their imamture bodies is too much.

No worries Dave the young go out into a holding flight as soon as they are weaned and the parents will be rested and replaced with another lot that are maturing now.

This pair was used as fosters as the cock bird is old and hadn't fertilised any of the eggs, the surprising thing is that the hen didn't play up on him unfortunately :unsure:

The last pair i have photos of are being used as fosters as the hens eggs didn't hatch.

Wow, you have some magnificent colours going on there. They look great. Are they all what you have bred yourself or have there been some outside purchasing? I hope to start breeding after my aviary is finished, I want to mainly breed for pretty colours at the moment.

hay hilly nice chicks love the playing around with the mutations

its great love that you know what you breed to breed other difrent colours and mutations

although aviry breed im sure you knew what you were hopeing for by looks of it
