my little boy luckie was born dec 1, 2008. he was so friendly that i could cuddle him, scratch his head, talk to and lots more.

over the last week or so he has learnt to bite and leave a mark, screech, throw up his food, and he has to sit on my head where he talks & talks. he was getting his feet stuck in my hair so now i leave a t shirt on my head and he sits on that.

he loves my finger when i point it and he fans his tail feathers.

is he too young to have these special feelings.

I've never had a tame bird before but I know some birds when moulting get a change of personality. They bite more and want nothing to do with their owner. when the moult is over the go back to the same old happy budgie.

Just remove the swing if you dont like his behaviour. I think he is just having fun and being a boy. Gives him somthing to do.

moving toys around and giving them a different view of things 1x a week in the beginning helps behaviors like this also increasing his cover time to 12-14 hours for a couple weeks will decrease the hormone levels and throw them out of the extreme flirty stage that he is in right now.
