I've tried every method to try and train him, but nothing seems to be working. I've tried gradually introducing my hand to him, but he still just flutters all around the cage like crazy. I've read every budgie book from the library, and i've attempted every method the books have given me, but nothing has worked. Is there anything else i can do to try and get him used to my hand in the cage? He is 8 months old, and so i'm also wondering if it is too late to train him? Thanks! _peep_ Link to comment

If you have done the gradual approach with no success then i would try the more forced approach. First, clip his wings (if they aren't already) Then take him out of his cage and hold him in another room away from his cage. Handle him a lot, make him tunnel though your hands and crawl around your shoulders etc. Work with him every day and he will eventually trust that your hands wont hurt him. good luck.
