Are we going into breeding

King Charles Cavalier Spaniels

Kaz.

Looks that way Macka. My husband is very keen on the dogs. He sent Maggie off to get mated recently but the timing was off and it didnt work out. Stud fees being around $950 these days and a male cav for $700...........Ken decided to get a male cavalier so when Maggie is on heat next and if the young fella is old enough ....... :D Hmmm :)

Here is my little Oscar baby. He isnt really a baby he is 5 but he gets treaten very much like one.

He is very very spoilt and we love him dearly. He is a miniature dachshund (black and tan)

What a cute sausage dog Finnie (lovely colours, ive always wanted a long haired), the name is perfect!

It is so interesting to see everyones different dogs! They all look like they would have different personalities.

Great news Kaz, what reason did the stud owner give for it not to have worked? Maybe a slip mating?

:D Congrats Kaz

Here are some pics of my babies

This is Simba she is supposed to be border collie cross springer spaniel but I think she may have pointer in her but who knows. She is 14 years old now and has had a couple of strokes but she still thinks she is a puppy sometimes.

This is Sarge our German Shepherd he is the man of the house, he is five years old and we originally got him after we had some birds stolen. He definately makes people aware that he is here when they come, but he is well behaved and just lets us know when someones here, he is a bit spoilt for a guard dog.

Last but not least is our new puppy Wally he is a Border collie cross groodle {golden retriever poodle cross} and gives everyone something to smile at, always full of energy and living up to his name constantly. At the moment he is all legs and still growing but he seems to be quite smart and is well mannered.

Here at 8 weeks

She said she never saw a tie...a mating. But she let them roam the yard together and sleep togther for ten days. It only takes 20 mins. She wasnt watching all the time it seems :(

Here is a picture of my lovely boy Prince who we sadly lost in February 2009

ATT1.jpg

Here he is with my Grandaughter a short while before we had to have him put to sleep.

Happydays002-1.jpg

as you can see he is looking old in this picture and was paralysed in his back legs, but he still managed to enjoy life until he took a sudden downturn and we had to take him to the vet to be put to sleep as his quality of life would not have been good. It broke our heart.

It is sad to lose them when they have been a part of our life so long. I'm sure you still miss him. We had to have our 13 1/2 year old dog put down this past winter, so I know what you went through. But thankfully there are a lifetime of good memories! :D
