CasperRose, They are some lovely flowers - they look so different. Are they a form of daisy??

I don't know what they are... the label at the nursery said "Potted Colour"!!! I don't think that would be the botanical name...

Everyone has beautiful gardens. Mine is a mixture of flowering shrubs and ground covers but i am not a good gardener so i have no idea of most of their names. My Jasmine is just starting to flower and i love the smell.

I think a type of Daisy

Geranium

I think it is called a Bromelia and is only suppose to flower once.

Some absolutely stunning blooms here!!

My Bird of Paradise has just opened, my jonquils are all just dying off and my asiatic liliums will start flowering in the next few weeks. I will try to get some snaps over the next few days

Liv, thank your husband for me? I can't say those names so will stick to cactus! :D

Deb, your correct about the Bromeliad, we've got a number of them - they are great rain catchers. After the flowers start dying off, pull them out of the ground and divide them - you'll see new shoots, these are called "pups". Each pup will have it's own roots and can be planted and next season they will flower and restart the cycle.

They are truly an amazing plant! :bliss:

Because we only moved into our house 2 years ago and have been doing work non stop this is the one and only flower that I have.... (but I did plant some rose bushes this spring).

I wish we had some of the flowers you all have there in Australia, that are so pretty.

Day lily

Wow everyone: Thanks for sharing your lovely photos of flowers. It is immensely heartening to me as we in Canada/U.S. are, as Elly says, heading into winter. To know that it is spring somewhere else in the world is a fabulous pick-me-up as the days grow shorter and the temperature drops... :fly:
