Its about 10kg and now i am wondering how to store it as it will take me AGES to use it and when i open it it will expand out heaps - shame they didn't sell it in smaller sizes How do you keep your pine shavings clean and dry??? If fume-y ( strong smelling ) you need to air it for quite a while to take the smell out. Link to comment

Personally I would prefer to keep the shavings as dry as possible and then maybe give them a light mist of water before using them in the nest box. Just me though Link to comment

So if you have anything that you keep in a container and use slowly like egg and biscuit or handrearing mix a small cloth bag of rice in the bottom will keep the mixture nice and dry. Link to comment
