If this bird was an adult when you bought it, there is no telling how old it is. Also when posting a picture of a bird to show its cere you need a close up photo of the cere with no flash used on the camera. That photos shows nothing. Link to comment

It could be something as simple as that the box is just 'part of the furniture'. I would take the nest box out personally and then put it back in a couple of weeks.
