This is just an update on the proper use of our PM facility.

PM's are for:-

1. Friendly contacts between members

2. Used for contact for any FOR SALE birds or WANTED TO BUY inquiries instead of posting direct contacts like email addresses or phone numbers which is not allowed.

3. Notices being sent to members from staff and also from to staff from a member with a question or difficulty related to forum issues.

4. Used to assist a member with posting issues

PM's are NOT TO BE USED FOR

1. PROMPTING other various members to answer their topics or posts. People will answer what they choose to answer in regard to topics that interest them and in their own time as it is available to them.

2. Not for abusing or harrassing other members

3. Not to be used for solicitation or promoting other forums or sites.

COMPLAINTS BROUGHT TO THE ATTENTION OF STAFF MEMBERS OR ADMIN MAY RESULT IN WARNINGS BEING ISSUED. PLEASE BE AWARE OF ALL RULES AND BE POLITE AT ALL TIMES

Thankyou

Just a reminder that the PM facility is NOT TO BE USED FOR .......repetitive questioning of other members by PM when those questions, no matter how small, would best be answered on the public forum where everyone can get a chance to answer them.

If you have a lot of questions, make a list and post them. You will get a far wider response than PMing a few select members who may or may now have time for a lot of PMs.

THANKYOU ;)

To All Members.............posts saying "I PMed YOU" are not necessary and will be deleted. Anyone who logs in WILL get their pms as they pop up.........no need to make a post of saying you PMed someone :) ........reason for this post .........there has been a run on posts saying "I PMed YOU"

I had reason recently to block a member from PMing me. The reason for this is the PMs were abusive. Noone has to put up with abusive pms and you can block a member who does this. But DO report them to staff members to be dealt with please.
