I have seen this happening with most of the budgies, but only once in a while and not all the time. So I was under impression that this could be some sort of sign for illness. Some time back I have discussed this with one of the local breeder and as per him this is sign of fever or cold. So just wanted to make sure that this behaviour is not related to any illness. Your local breeder is very wrong OH, I don't know about that ... If your breeder is sleeping with his head stuck backwards & tucked under his arm pit ... Then I would say YOUR BREEDER IS SICK ! He is either seriously sick or a freaky contortionist. But fear not for yer budgies ... allot of Budgies sleep that way. I sometimes think they do it to block out sound or noise. Or sometimes they like to pretend they ain't payin attention to me & hide their heads like that & pretend they is sleepin .... But I see them sneakin a peek at me with one little black button eye .... They think I don't know what they are doing. But they can't fool me ! I ain't as dumb as a rock. Link to comment
