Hotrods And Hearses

Here are some HOTROD photos taken when we went on a hotrod cruise just before Christmas, in the hearse on its first time out and about. While the hearse isnt exactly a hotrod, she is a classic car and get invites to go on horod events in most cases.

On Saturday we are going on another hotrod cruise. The first half of the day is the SHOW AND SHINE where the cars are displayed for the general public to look at( for the locals it will be held at Burswood Casino from lunchtime till 3 pm ish ).

Then in the early evening we go on a hotrod cruise/event...called Big Al's Poker Run http://www.pokerrun.summersun.net.au/

When we get back to the first location there will be food and rock n roll and a band playing into the night.

It's going to take me all day on Friday to detail the hearse so she looks good for the Show and Shine display.

Ken is driving his charger with a buddy and my ex brother in law.I am driving my hearse with my youngest daughter.

Should be fun

Thats just one of the things we do apart from budgie events and shows.

I thought my life was busy, but I wonder how you cram everything you do in Kaz, especially after the amount of time you give to this forum.

Life does get a little busy these days and we need a calendar to work out our time and events. But we are at a stage in our life where we can have a bit of fun, and a grand daughter to have fun with too.

Nice cars!!

We have a museum in Birdwood filled with houndreds of vintage cars, bikes and trucks - Its a great place and I love the smell of the old leather.

Tomorrow is the big day out...hundreds of hotrods and classics. For today I get to clean, vacuum, polish and detail the hearse. That'll take me all day

Currently searching for a coffin for display purposes for the day

 

 

 

****SOLVED*****A local coffin manufacturer has loaned us a display casket for tomorrow for the cost of a few beers

Over 600 hotrods and classic cars were there today. Got lots of attention in the hearse...My youngest daughter who travelled with me was thrilled to bits with the day out.....AND we have been approached by a National Car Magazine as they wish to do a future article on the hearse. Ken who went in his valiant charger had some car trouble and had to go home early

Will post some pictures tomorrow.

My youngest daughter has heaps of attitude. On the way home in the dark, she put the skull mask on at every set of traffic lights and peered out of the hearse at people in the lane next to us. Got some pretty funny reactions :fear
