Denise 0 Posted November 2, 2007 This is Samson and Delilah, out of quarantine and going into a breeding box to see how they go. Samson is a lemon color with mauve cheek patches and plum eyes?? Delilah is I think maybe a grey green spangle?? She wasn't very impressed with the photo, she was taking a nap.
**KAZ** 0 Posted November 2, 2007 Sampson looks like he may be a fallow. Delilah is a grey green cinnamon. Opaline too ? is she ? They say not to mix cinnamon with fallow, but its up to you, of course. They may both be opaline too. Nice looking birds.
Denise 0 Posted November 2, 2007 Would this cock be better for her? What hen would I put the fallow with then?
*Nerwen* 0 Posted November 3, 2007 I see a grey-green normal hen with the male he could be fallow but I see grey markings not brown.
Daz 0 Posted November 3, 2007 I'd put the grey green hen to him, the recessive pied wouldn't do him any good.
**KAZ** 0 Posted November 3, 2007 (edited) Samson is a lemon color with mauve cheek patches and plum eyes?? Are the eyes RED or PLUM ? Spots seem to be brownish like a cinnamons and that would make the wings brownish. Body colour is a diluted yellow. and red or plum eyes. Interesting bird. Denise 0 Posted November 4, 2007 I have had a few people here today so I ask what colors they thought were on the wings and the majority thought the spots were a darkish grey and the bottom tail feathers were cinnamon?? Definitely plum eyes. Very odd.
*Nerwen* 0 Posted November 4, 2007 Fallow seems to match the best as the eyes are reddish and the cere hasn't changed from the baby pink

Riebie 0 Posted November 4, 2007 (edited) Just want to say that Samson is a gorgeous bird! I love his colours!! :budgiedance: Delilah is an opaline, with no spangle, also very gorgeous  Edited November 4, 2007 by Riebie Spelling error
Sailorwolf 0 Posted November 4, 2007 Could he not also be a lacewing as he has no colouring on his belly and the bars on his head seem too dark for a fallow
**KAZ** 0 Posted November 4, 2007 No way is he a lacewing.
