I have a picture here of one l would like to get: One like this, thats on a rolling-table. I will be going some markets tomorrow and having a look. Just wondering how much $$ it would approximately cost? (Australian) Thanks everyone Edited October 19, 2007 by Missy Link to comment

The spacing for budgie shouldn't be bigger then 13 milimeters. I don't know about the price in Australia, try to look on ebay, maybe you find some good prices :budgiedance: I found some cages, I'm not sure how big is the cage you liked, but this one looks nice and big as well and the bar spacing is 1/2" (13mm), so it's okay for budgie Cage I just realized the link I posted is USA not Australian, but I can't find similar one on an Australian websides  Edited October 19, 2007 by Zebra Link to comment

Have a look around on the internet and ebay. Cages like the one that zebra posted are available and are brilliant. Quite a few of the members here have that or a similar cage. Feathers. This is one i have been looking at for my guys and might suit sherbet a bit better... if you want BIG I dont know any australian websites that would have it. http://www.windycityparrot.com/Merchant2/m...roduct_Count=16 Link to comment

Just wondering, am l able to take the cage off the tray? Only because it would make moving it indoors much easier. Thanks everyone for your links and pictures Link to comment

I don't know if that one comes apart, I know the one I have does which is the one that Zebra posted. The cage part does come off the stand. I believe you can get that in AU you have to look on e-bay or a dealer by you. Those cages are extremely popular and you can fit 4 budgies in there with no problems no more then six. Merlin is in his cage all on his own . Link to comment

It was around $300AU and that was massively reduced. For a good, solid, powder coated cage you are likely to have to pay a lot, but they are good quality and will probably outlive the birds you put in them. Link to comment

The cage also came with 4 feeding bowls, 3 dowel perches and a swing. She's loving it to bits :(Laughing out loud): Link to comment

BUT it is great for a couple budgies and she looks great in there . Link to comment

But I guess if your budgie gets lots of flying out in your room then it's okay  Link to comment

It needed to be wider rather than taller so the budgie could fly across the cage from perch to perch. Does your budgie get out of cage time ? Link to comment

So l went out and l found this cage, which was a bargain and very similar dimensions with the one in the above picture, so l bought it. I was so excited l took a photo as soon as l got it all set up with Sherbet in it and people are saying its not good enough? I had good morals, l wanted to get her a bigger cage, l could have left her in the cage she was in (half the size) but l thought of her and l thought she would love the extra room. She flies in the cage, not well, but to get exercise she holds onto the perches and flaps her wings and she enjoys it. Thats all l wanted to say, none of you commented on the size of the cage, only the bar spacing. Link to comment

The doors are a great size an the black colour is good as it makes it easier to see her. You should get some gum branches and stuff in there for her, she'd like that. Link to comment
