Just have a few questions. (1) is it definitely a male ? The lady i got it from said it was a male, but just want to make sure as i heard its quite hard to tell when they are so young ( when i handle him he doesnt bite me ) (2) she said it was only 5 weeks old.... does it look like its only 5 weeks old ? (3) how long before it will start eating...... Ive had him for 24 hours now, and havent noticed him eat or drink...... he seems very relaxed with me, and doesnt seem scared or stressed at all. So wondering why he hasnt eaten yet ? (4) will babies eat eucalypts.....? I put some nice new eucalpy shoots in his cage and doesnt seem interested at alll (5) Is it a yellow faced blue.... ? thats what i wanted ...Below are some pics of him so u can tell me if its definitely male....... sorry if they are too big... I dont know how to resize them :hap: pic1 pic2 jason Link to comment

Just have a few questions.(1) is it definitely a male ? The lady i got it from said it was a male, but just want to make sure as i heard its quite hard to tell when they are so young ( when i handle him he doesnt bite me ) Looks like a boy (2) she said it was only 5 weeks old.... does it look like its only 5 weeks old ? Looks about that age...YES(3) how long before it will start eating...... Ive had him for 24 hours now, and havent noticed him eat or drink...... he seems very relaxed with me, and doesnt seem scared or stressed at all. So wondering why he hasnt eaten yet ? young ones generally search the floor for their food, so maybe a shallow tray on the floor of the cage would be good(4) will babies eat eucalypts.....? I put some nice new eucalpy shoots in his cage and doesnt seem interested at allltry him with things like that when he is older (5) Is it a yellow faced blue.... ? thats what i wanted YES he is a YF type 2 skyblue. When he moults his bluish colour will go a little more greenish. ...Below are some pics of him so u can tell me if its definitely male....... sorry if they are too big... I dont know how to resize them :hap: pic1pic2jasonCheers Kaz He's really cute...has he a name yet ? Edited October 18, 2007 by KAZ Link to comment

By the way, the reason i ended up getting a budgie, and wanting a yellow face blue , is because i found a older one in my backyard the other which sadly passed away a few hours after i found him.... This is a picture of him after he passed away .... :hap: Im hoping my will eventually have the same colours ? pic3 Jason Edited October 18, 2007 by Jasonwr6000 Link to comment

Guest Phoebe
:ygbudgie: VERY cute, best you put some small food/water cages on the cage floor until he becomes accustomed to the "official" containers. Bongo, Spencer, Chapter, Chrysler, Kerry, Laptop, Bingo, Dragonfly, Samson, Paintbox, Phoenix, Arthur, Sunny, Spirit, Groovy, Funky, Georgie, Frankie, Charlston, Bufus, Roquefort, Kettle, Potato, Heath, Hugo, Norman, and I am done....................
