Looks like a grey green normal to me Libby, so I would say the dad is the second one...?

Ummm are you sure that's the same baby? because the first picture is definitely a spangle, but that second picture, it looks more like a normal marking to me. the second baby looks to be a cinnamon baby to me.

Gee now it looks like a grey green cinnamon as I first thought not a spangle. The 2 spangles, did you say father and son, if that's the case and the mother is normal and the father is split for cinnamon you have 25% chance of the son being split also. I think that's right.

yeah positive thats the same bub only got 3 in pin stages atm the mothers a light green opaline and if one of those two spangles are the father then it could be cinnamon but i have no idea what it is... leaving this one to the experts:)

reason why I said its different bubs is because in the first pics you can clearly see the spangle tails marking with the middle two being clear and in the second picture you can't see that anymore, and the wing markings seems to be a bit more like normals rather than spangles. but again I think it's definitely cinnamon as compare to the one next to it's it's much lighter. not so black.

He can't be a grey-green since none of the possible parents are grey or grey- green themselves. Any body colour showing up near the tail yet libby?

If the dk green spangles the father it could be grey green. But from 2 light greens you shoud only get Lt greens.

hey i have another possible father because the baby is starting to look blue series to me... should the mother be split for blue and this is the father this would be a yf2 mauve spangle or yf2 cobalt spangle... i know you all say grey green but i only have two greys... a normal grey male and a grey green normal female... and since this ones mother is an opaline it isnt really a possibilty of the greys... tell me what ya reckon here's a picture of the bubs belly and possible father

I think it would have been easier to work out if it was a pair of budgies and a breeder box :D

I would think that would be a match. It would be easy for her to be split for blue.

The bub is either a cobalt or mauve. Looks slightly mauve to me.

Bea was right with the pale wings in the end :hap: Well done.

Well this was fun to read.. :(Laughing out loud):

I liked it heaps.. But I thoughtr you said you only had 2 possiable spangles.. :hap: Then you pull another one from your hat.. :(Laughing out loud):

Well is that all your spangles then? I know everyone has only looked at fathers a hen could have layed in the nest you just never know when you colony breed..

She is a cutie.. At least the last spangle has more of a chance to being the dad than the other 2.

because i was told it was green i had only two possible fathers... as for yf spangle i have that one which it looks similar to or a yf2 cobalt opaline spangle... but the bubba woulda been opaline because both parents are... aside from that the other spangles are female... so i guess we've worked it out:)

Gee Libby I was wandering why the yellow was pale too, in my defence, but you can really see the blue series in it now and here I was saying grey green, Ha, ha, :D Think I should go and buy those prescripton glasses that I was meant to a while back (Laughing out loud). :(Laughing out loud):

I have a yellow face grey spangle baby and he has a slight tinge to he wings, :hap: Very hard to breed yellow face spangles without the yellow going through their wings which is a big fault.

Any way here or she is a very cute baby, Like to see some pics when he leaves the nest. :)

Oh yeh like the name too
