Guest Alora
Thanks! ohhh I can't wait till I can find out if they're fertile or not...how many days after being laid can you check to see if they're fertile? isn't it like a week or so? It's cute...Skye hasn't left the nestbox and she's sitting on it...I thought they didn't do that till the 2nd or third egg? :budgiedance: myeh...doesn't bother me as long as she's a good mum Alora Edited October 2, 2006 by Alora Link to comment

It is such an exciting time! And aren't the budgie eggs just the most adorable little things, I was amazed they were so tiny when I got my first ones a month or so ago. Link to comment
Guest Alora
oh gosh yes they're so small!!! It's amazing a little bird can come out of that!! I remember when I watched our finches eggs hatch it was the most amazing thing! unfortunately they started hatching when we were about to go out somewhere and I was too young to stay home and watch them...I was SOOOOOOOO mad...I got to watch two hatch then we left...I remember that was the clutch that Jenny (the mom) laid 14 eggs! The dad, Beep, was just going totally crazy...excited that he was a daddy...too cute..They were little zebra finches...it's funny when you start beeping to them they really get a-goin'...(Laughing out loud) only 9 hatched but It was still crazy...Fortunately we didn't have to let the eggs go to waste...I had been keeping a garter snake as a pet for a while and fed the unfertile eggs to it...It enjoyed them...
