Just curious, but do you have a favourite mutation?

I love all my birds for their different personalities and quirks. They are such great little characters!

But will admit that I do love the Type 1 YF, a beautiful bird. Mind you I don't have one yet!

Do you have a favourite?

They're all really cute.. but I prefer blues to greens for the most part. I like violet, clearwings, blue series dilutes, greys, fallows, clearbodys -- and spangles

Birdluv, I think Butter (the yellow?) is a doublefactor dominant pied and not a recessive pied. I'm not sure about Popcorn without seeing her back markings.

My favorites are blue series pieds, with any additional genes (opaline, clearflight, etc) a bonus. Add a few full bodied greywings. Kinda like these: :P

My favourite would be a YF spangle. The more aqua the body colour the better. Tying for second would be violets or YF recessives. I definately prefer blues, but have a few greens too.

Yeah, I don't think Butter is recessive. I would say doublefactor dominant pied. He reminds me a lot of my Sunny. Which means if you ever breed him to a normal hen, all babies will be pied. :( I think Popcorn is recessive though. How old are they?

my favorites are YFTII, but my most perfectly proportioned bird as far as markings go is my sky blue opaline dominant pied cock, everytime I look at him I have to say "wow what a gorgeous bird"

next in line is Rocky my YFTII grey greywing opaline cock, he's getting prettier every day. I also prefer the white bases to the yellows.

I’m absolutely nuts about cinnamons! I also prefer blues to greens.

These are my favourites:

1 – Cinnamon (Pied, Opaline, Yellow Face, others)

2 – Lacewings (dream about the day I will get my first)

3 – Follows (just got my first! Here is the thread 11790)

4 – Greywing

5 - Inos

6 – Spangle

7 – Pied
