I've always been under the impression that a hens first clutch is usually her largest.. I felt her yesterday to make sure she didn't retain an egg, she's still acting normal so.. just one egg and she broke it.. I'm going to leave her in with Boidie and see if they try again. I'm suprised at how fast they are coming into this world.. #1 hatched early morning on the 13th, #2 hatched late night on the 14th, #3 may just be here by morning, and #4 has already piped the air cell. I think someone was a little too rough with #2 today as he had a scratch on his chest, appeared to have bled a little but seems okay now, but I'll certainly be watching him, anything I can put on him to keep from infection? I'm wanting to keep a female from thie pairing so #2 may just be staying with me. I'm open for names for the first two if anyone's got suggestions, when I know exactly what mutations they are I will post, pics will have to wait as I dont have a digital camera. Link to comment

Maybe a light wash in lukewarm water?? ( as in get a cotton ball and brush it over the scab once or twice for a few days) It's nice when you have a male with a sex-link trait makes it easy to pick the genders. Link to comment

I see no color at all in the pins just white, she's not albino since her eyes are not red, the other 2 are still to young to say for sure but it's looking like #3 is also a hen. Link to comment
