So I've had her for almost two months and I've noticed that the past few days her feathers have been very sparse around her nose and a bit around her eyes. I don't know whether I should be worried or if this is normal. Is it molting? Is she sick? Is it because she's naturally ready to breed? Someone please help! I've never owned a bird before and I'm worried there's something wrong. She's acting fine and eating fine, so I don't know if this is normal or not.

We just got 2 new budgies we are thinking the blue one is a female and that the green one might be a male?? I'm a new owner and I'm having a hard time figuring out their genders. The one we think is female (Blue) has a light brown and dark brown cere we think she is about 8 months old to a yearThe one we think is a Male (Green & yellow) has a pink cere with white rings around the nose which is why we are a bit unsure if he is actually a he

Hi all, My name is Megan, and I just bought my first bird tonight. I've been preparing for weeks, planning to get a budgie, but tonight I just fell in love with this little guy that followed me back and forth at his cage at the petshop while I was picking up more supplies. I have been studying a lot, but being that I have no experience, I'm still really nervous and unsure. I'm so excited to have my little guy, though. I think he's a boy, and I think he's still a baby, but as he's solid yellow with no markings, I''m not super confident in that assumption. I'm still thinking of names, but I'm pretty sure I'm going to call him Puck. Not the best picture, but it's my very first picture of him and I was just way too excited to notice it was blurry.
