Blast From The Past - What's Your Favourite Type Of Budgie?
JimmyBanks posted a topic in Budgie Talk
So, one great thing about this forum is that it has been around for donkeys years and there are heaps of old topics that are really helpful. There are others that are really funny, and others that just never went anywhere... What I'm going to attempt to do with this is post links to some topics from the past that I think should be revived and given a second breath of life. P.S. some are so old that the members names are listed as 'Guest' and some of the pictures may have been deleted. To start us off here is a link to a thread that talks about American and English type budgies - as you can see from the very beginning of time this has been a topic that has confused or annoyed many people: http://forums.budgie...hl=budgie&st=20 So what's your favourite type of budgie? As you can see I added another option... -
Hello. My husband and I would like to get either a tame or young budgie. We're finding it hard to even locate someone to make enquires to. I'm in my 50s and Husband in his 60s. We're in north Queensland about an hour and a half from Townsville. Anywhere that we can drive to (including Cairns). Can someone tell me if there are any budgie sellers of either tame birds, or birds young enough to have a go at taming and hand rearing ourselves? We have no other pets. We tamed a peach face once, and she would go to sleep in my Husband's hand (he'd cup it like a tunnel) for hours. We did try again after she died, but the next peach face wasn't having a bar of us. And the cockitel, who has been gone for about a year now, also didn't really bond with us...she bonded with the other peach face lol. My grandparents had a budge when we were young and it would talk and give his name and address. And cousins had a budgie that had the run of the lounge room. Any help would be appreciated. Sharon
