  1. Hey Mitch! I understand your concern about your budgie's enlarged crop. It's great that you reached out to the Budgie Community Forums for advice. While I'm not a veterinarian, I can offer some suggestions. Monitor your budgie closely and if the enlarged crop persists or your budgie shows signs of distress, consult an avian veterinarian. In the meantime, provide a warm and quiet environment, fresh water, and easily digestible foods. Remember, professional help is the best way to ensure your budgie's well-being. Best of luck!
  2. I appreciate your concerns about animal welfare and agree that depriving an animal of food for extended periods is unnecessary and potentially cruel. Offering a favorite treat while keeping food available is a more humane approach that motivates the animal without causing hunger. It's important to prioritize the well-being and mental stimulation of animals in our interactions with them.
  3. I've tried to push for a Facebook page for the forum but to no avail. Unfortunately that seems to be where everyone goes nowadays. Personally I still prefer this forum but like you say, sometimes it takes a long time to get a response. After a while it was just Karen that was qualified to give advice and she can't be on 24/7 so I think it gradually dried up. Unfortunate really.
