Hi guys an update.....
Been to the Vet and got Spike checked out and he's not sure what the problem is yet!!
A crop sample was taken and vet did the microscope bit and it's not Canker, and Spike has a good mix of bacteria which he said is good.
He was pleased with Spikes general condition and said a budgie will vomit 3-4 times a day but Spike is doing it most of the time!!!
The fresh poops looked good unlike the one I seen earlier on my hand I told the vet about which was clear with just little bit of white in the middle and that told him his kidneys where okay but no food had gone through...
Next he was going to give a injection which would empty his crop quickly and re-test with the microscope, a 2 day stay in hospital has been recommended and he will phone me tomorrow.....
glad you followed through
i hope hes okay
vet will find problem sounds like hes going to keep a watchful eye to veiw his symptoms also
Another update
The vet rang late morning just like he said and he's had to give Spike some thing to stop him from vomiting, then a antibiotic with a anti-parasitic......He is doing much better and the vet hopes it's now the treatment that's stopping him from being sick and not the earlier stuff for the vomiting.
He will ring later this afternoon if Spike condition changes.....
