Hello!

I am looking to expand my knowledge and experience and I have been looking for a copy of this book. It is currently out of print, but I was wondering if there is anyone out there who might have any ideas where I could find one? Or if anyone has extra copies by chance and would be willing to part with one.

My budgie was born 3 days ago. I use a syringe to feed it. There is an air bubble in its crop since 2 days ago. It seems getting bigger since last night. I fed it every 2-3 hours for about 0.2-0.4ml each feeding. Would you please let me know how to help release the bubble? The photo 0219 was from yesterday. The rest of the photos are from today after feeding.

I was a member on the forum a few years ago and at the time it was very active, any posts usually had a reply within the hour. Unfortunately I had a few issues with my birds at the time and when a tree fell on my aviary one day I left the hobby.

When I recently decided to come back to the hobby the first thing I did was come back to this forum however I was disappointed to see that the number of active members had dropped dramatically and now it can take weeks to have a reply to a topic if you get one at all...

What happened???

Can we fix it?

Maybe if the forum had a corresponding Facebook page or perhaps people could join with standard hotmail type email addresses?

Hello, I wanted to ask if it is important when buying new TV to get higher refresh rate (144Hz) than just normal (50Hz)? The reason why I am asking is that I have bigger cage facing the point where the TV will stand, about 4 meters away from my two budgies. As I read, budgies can see up to 150 frames per second so anything less (even frequency of the light) can be blinking in their eyes and make them in a way (behaving bad, sick from it etc). It is something I need to worry about? Of course I am not going to watch TV with budgies, but they are facing the TV and when I will watch at night, I do not want to make them any harm caused by the TV/picture. Thank you for your input.

So I've had her for almost two months and I've noticed that the past few days her feathers have been very sparse around her nose and a bit around her eyes. I don't know whether I should be worried or if this is normal. Is it molting? Is she sick? Is it because she's naturally ready to breed? Someone please help! I've never owned a bird before and I'm worried there's something wrong. She's acting fine and eating fine, so I don't know if this is normal or not.

We had an unexpected death of our male. Our female has four chicks - should we intervene and take all or some of the chicks to feed by hand? Any information you can provide is greatly appreciated.

Hi, so I'm considering getting a budgie soon, but I have a few questions before I do:

Can you keep 2 male budgies together in a cage? If you bring both of them home on the same day, from the same place, do you still have to quarantine one?

What's a good cage brand and size?

In a typical week, what should I feed my budgie?

What type of perches, in your opinion, are best?

How can I effectively tame my first budgie?

If anyone has answers to these questions, or other advice, please reply! Thank you so much!!

Just wondering if any of the members/breeders from years back still look in here or has everyone migrated to Facebook.

	hi there!

This is my first post on this forum, i'm not quite sure if it is even active any more.

I have had a budgie name "Paul" for the last year and a half. When we got him we tried to train him but he just seemed very aggressive. We purchased him from a farmers market (no clue of his age), with his brother and father. We sold his father as he was sick and old and we knew we weren't able to take care of him. About 1 year into owning him his brother passed away due to shock from a storm (was inside, must have been frightened to death )

We have tried multiple times to train Paul but he just does not like hands in his cage, we tried leaving our hands outside his cage with treats, but he would still fly to the other end of the cage and stay as far away as possible.

I'm not quite sure if this would play a part in it but he has had mites for the last 4 months, they aren't very big or anything and they don't seem to bother him. We have changed his cage a few times, insuring it is clean with brand new toys, and we are planning on buying mite treatment but we aren't quite sure how we will get it on him as he hates being touched.

	Any help would be appreciated.

	Thankyou

	-Matt
