Budgies Kept: 16
The one male Budgie we have Zander, he is in a cage with his mate willow, whom he feeds and preens every day. But I've noticed that he hangs on the cage side and socializes with the hen next to him. Our Danish Recessive Pied bird, whom thanks to Ken Yorke's Variety Bible, is now positively identified as a male. I recently moved the cage to a different part of the room to give change of scenery as he is the only bird in the cage. He was eating his seed out of his dish one day. He would take a few pecks, then start staring at the other budgies, It was comical to watch. We recently purchased a Lutino and a white male the other day and we got a good sized cage for them. My wife is in a chair due to her meniere's, as we went throught the mall to get more food for the Budgies, we had all kinds of people come up to us and comment on the cage. The birds were in a box at the bottom of the cage and chirping away . Needless to say we certainly stood out that day. Will post picture of Lutino Bird with the white male, so we can get a positive ID on sex, we are think a hen, but not quite sure.
