Hi everyone, I haven't been here in ages, I need as many opinions as I can find








This is what I got from the gentleman who had it in France in 2008

Father recessive pied X normal blue / ??
Père pie danois bleu X normale bleu / ??


As a flegling, the forehead only appeared really "flecky" (only english word he used)
A la sortie du nid le front était seulement d'apparence très " flecky "

His sister (cinnamon blue) as the same pattern in her markings, without color on the head.
Sa soeur (bleu cinnamon) a le même dessin de panachure, sans coloration de la tête.


has the eye of the danish pied
Oeil de pie danoise

The marking of the chest like the dutch pieds
Panachure de poitrine comme les pies hollandaises. (blanc descendant sous les spots)

No marking at the wings and on the tail (faulty?)
Pas de panachures aux ailes et la queue (fautive ?)

She just looks very very heavily flecked that's all.
OR
Is a new mutation
Black face recessive pied that would be interesting but know don't think so

But it is strange that her wings look like normal wings and I think this is because she is so heavily marked..

so what are you actually asking
is it a acording to a book i have open

this variety should be pure white with jet black wing markings on a white ground and jet black flights normal greens or blues have a off black brounish colour on the wings .
the coal black of this stricking looking bird is similar of that found on an australian grey ,exept that the wing markings are not as dense but more like thoughs of the v wings
the feather sharft s are jet black
at the time of righting this there are few perfict specimens in country with breasts and rumpps pure white many specimans ,however have irregular blue blotches on white ground these birds are also breed in clear yellow with black wings , birds of this type belong to the pied family


so thats w3hat my book says its got every pie possable written in it

its a pied im not sure what your asking here though is it rec or dutch pied is that what you want to know ???

Perhaps you did not notice that this mature female has, among other things, markings all the way down to the cire... I tought at least that was quite noticeable.

Its a heavily marked recessive pied..............no more and no less

It is a heavily marked Recessive Pied.

GB, not having a go mate but I think if you are quoting directly from a book please aknowledge the souce i.e. Book title, Author etc. I think I know which book you quote from and the author of the day is describing what was applicable for the day. If I am right the description is that of the Easley Clearbody which at the time was seen as a Pied type until a full understanding could be realised.

It must be remembered that there are many budgie books on the market and of them only a very small percentage are a reliable scource of information on varieties. Many have simply carried on the mis-information. Same can be said for a lot of websites.
