Lovely space you have for your birds :D I would suggest a few more perches for them though so they dont make their tails all ragged on the wire.

Nah, the background makes them stand out even more!

Good point KAZ - I did notice they were clinging all over the wire but hadn't noticed that there weren't many perches or branches in there.

PICT0341.jpg <<<---- The opaline there on the wire has a lovely clear back

You have very nice birds and a huge aviary! i agree more perches could be good as their tails fray if they hang on the wire too much.

You have a lovely flock :D

Thanks for the pictures.

Show types and bush budgies are not the same -- in fact they're pretty much opposites! Bush budgies are tiny and found in their natural state in the wild. Show budgies have been bred for particular qualities that usually make them very big. Physically they are quite unlike bush budgies.

Hope that helps!

Why are these ones all over the ground? Don't they have enough perches either? Or are they too young to sit on perches?

they are about to be delivered to a petshop. Adding up some perches while travelling on rough roads here in our country won't do anything different..

I also know what bush budgies are , Just wanna show you guys the only show type pair that I have that looks the same as a bush budgie...

By The Way , thanks pearce and elly ...

Appreciate it .

Pearce: I really love the budgie in your sig , what's the color of their parents? I;ve been trying to produce one like that for 3 years now ,I tried using a Spangle mom which is an offspring of 2 lutinos x an opaline olive colored dad.. without any success..

Bush budgies are tiny. Show budgies are twice the size. They look completely different. You seem a little confused on this point.

I think the point was being made to get more perches in your aviary.

Marlon do you mean the colours of your pair look the same as a standard pair of bush budgies? Thats how I read it.

I dont use perches in my cages when I'm travelling either, Less stress on the birds to just sit on the ground.

Their was a big debate on the birds in my signatures parents. The mother is a dark green cinnamon spangle and the father is a light green recessive pied.

Yeah the colors .. just that the onlhappy that the green budgie pair that I have is the color of the wild budgies in australia ... :greenb:

with the perch while travelling , that's actually true , I also tried usin perches travelling and I can see how my budgies falls from the perch to the bottom of the cage , and they sometimes will have a broken wing ..

Really?

cinnamon spangle and a recessive pied? I really love that bird in your sig .. I also have light green recessive pied and a cinnamon .. Havnt tried pairing them up before.

thanks for the info .. may I see the parents of that lovely bird of yours?
