Hi, I have a question about my English show budgie. She is a Violet Cinnamon Opaline, if that makes any difference. We noticed when we first got her that she has some kind of bump above her bottom and in front of her tail that protrudes out and kind of looks like a broken wrist. We have her with a mate and they have produced 4 clutches each consisting of around 4-7 eggs all of which have been infertile. I am wondering if this bump is a known disease or just a deformation. (My family are novice breeders and don't know very much). We are also wondering if this is the reason she produces infertile eggs. Thanks, any help is appreciated.

If it is just above the base of the tail it may be a blocked oil gland.

Not that it matters, you have probably left the site by now anyway.

She kinda looks like the hunchback of notre dame except the hunch is above her bottom. Is a blocked oil gland something to worry about?

It can be serious as it could be infected. That may require a trip to the vet.
