I just bought a hen budgie. She has white crusty, flaky, bumps growing around her cere and her eyes. I was told that it is fungus but unsure if it is mites or fungus. I added a link of what her cere looks like. i will post a picture of her cere when i get home today. Any suggestions on what it can be please help me https://www.google.c...3D31624;640;480

Hi, if that is what her cere looks like it would be scaly mite and you need to treat her with ivermectin.

Hi. I agree with Nadene. It sounds like your budgie has scaley face. You can purchase Vetafarm Avimec from decent pet shops. It's easy to use and very effective.

Hello,

In my profile picture there is a picture of Skye my female budgie,

I am wondering if she has a mite or something on her cere

When I got her she had mites all over her face

But after a couple of weeks of good nutrition they disappeared

She has always had the cere trouble

Should I get some medical help or give her ivermectin?

Thanks

Elle

treat all your birds with ivermectin.

You go to your local vets and they will give you a small jar of it.

You dab it on with a childs paint brush, on the back of their neck.
