Question about food

hi new to budgies, is there any fruit or veg you shouldnt give budgies? how often should you give it to them? is lettuce okay? wat do they really love? i know when i put fresh grass in they love that. just thought as you were talking bout the subject you could tell me.

There are some basic rules.

 

Lettuce is a no no as it is something like 97% water. You are much better with spinach or silverbeet.

 

As for veges, some are a no no. Things like apple seeds are bad, so avoid them.

 

I am sure there is a list on here somewhere however the good ones to go with off the top of my head are spinach or silverbeet, corn, beetroot and carrot.

 

All these should be fresh, not the tinned variety.

Yeah, there is a list somewhere.

Avocado is a no-no, most fruit is okay, but usually they'll just have a nibble, asian greens are good (any) and don't forget the snow peas!!
