ARGHHHHHHHHHHH stupid *insert words not allowed to be used on forum and kicks a wall* Sorry having it happen once is annoying now I know of at least 10 birds out there in the world which are going to die as their "owner" who claim to love them can't be bothered to ring the vet and say 'I am broke can we work out a payment plan" or really don't want to spend the money on them anyway! Link to comment

I couldnt live with myself knowing that I didnt at least explore every option with my vet before 'just seeing how it goes' even if it means I have to eat homebrand dim sims every night for the rest of the month (and yes, I am currently eating homebrand dim sims every night for the rest of the month after expensive vet bills ). I wish that people would realise that even though budgies dont cost much to buy, its your responsibility as an owner to ensure they are healthy and to give them every opportunity to BE healthy, and if you cant afford it - DONT BUY ONE! If you already have decided what you are going to do about the situation  Edited July 2, 2009 by birdluv Link to comment

I really wish they would make the cost of buying a pet a lot more so people hold move financial "value" to the animals life. I also wish there was a form of medicare (like veticare) that is funded by the government to help pay vet bills. I believe this would reduce much animal neglect and increase the overall well being of most pets. Link to comment
