I went back to the vet today because he (vet assured me he is a he) hasn't been putting on any weight. so I got taught how to do a crop feed. It was a little tricky but I go there eventually. Len is still on some antibiotics that the vet gave me but I am hopeing that he will begin to improve sooner rather than later. Oh And they said that according to all their tests that they did it is liver disease... they said that was common in ino/lacewing birds. I asked if it was likely that he would improve and if the liver could recover like in humans and they said it could but it still would be weak. They want me to move to a pelleted diet... They also said to make sure he stays warm for the time being, which I've been trying to do. I am just wondering what I could do to set up a hospital cage with a stronger light than a normal desk lamp... any idea's? Link to comment

I wouldn't change his diet at all until he is eating consistently on his own it is hard enough to get a budgie to eat when sick let a lone changing their diet which puts more stress on them that is just my opinion. I continue to pray that Len pulls through. Oh, can you tell us how they know it is liver disease? Thanks Link to comment
