They need to have adequate ventillation to have birds and other pets. I have spoken to the pet shop operators about it and it is a rule of the RSPCA. Link to comment

Even then we buy online. Personally I say good riddance to pet shops. The way is breeders or if you like shelters, I got one of my rabbits, (RIP oreo) from a shelter. His partner ,(RIP daisy) was from a pet shop but we got her in 2003 when we had no clue how bad pet shops were, also, I was also only about 4-5 years old. Link to comment
