hi I just wanted to ask if you can have 2 males and 3 females in a cage breeding.

The cage is large and if there are some things I need to do, would anyone be so kind to listen to this request.

What are the dimensions of your cage?

I assume this is your first time breeding, how much reading up have you done, we have a great FAQ section dedicated to breeding this is really where you need to start BEFORE you start to breed.

Also, it is advised to not colony breed but to do closed breeding where you put a hen and a cock together and they can be on their own with no fighting. With having an odd number like this you can come across some bad experiences here. I am not an expert and the experts will come in and help you out.

Size if cage, amount of nestboxes, space between nestboxes ....all of this comes into play. By cage do you mean aviary or CAGE ?

with budgies i keep less females than males as the females are very aggressive towards each other over their nests
