I paid for treatments for her recently that fixed it but for a little while. She needs an operation. Meanwhile more cortisone needles in her spine that I have to work for and pay for as she cannot. She is worried about losing her job from too many sick days. To have the operation too, means at least 6 months recovery time with no income, no home, losing her pets etc. So she is very anxious as you can imagine. l'm so sorry to hear this, l know how hard it is when something like this happens. your daughter and your family are in my prayers and thoughts. Oh hugs Kaz, I can imagine how devestating it is she is caught between a rock and a hard place . She gets depressed and worse. I have to try and keep her spirits up. that is good that she has you to help her through all this. l know when l feel stressed out or depressed that l think, what is the use to get up in the morning, my family helps me cope with it and my 3 year old niece will always put a big smile on my face. l really hope that all this treatment will work and help your daughter get some relief from her pain. She has had some spinal needles...I am not sure if it was a spinal block or cortisone or both. In pain and discomfort but better than she was. Tingling and numbness in her foot and leg on one side. She has a new beau and maybe that keeps her spirits up a little. But one thing is...no matter how old your kids are...they still cry out for Mum when the going gets tough.Oh Kaz... I hope your daughter is okay. Good on you for being there for her. Families are really important, especially during times of illness. Bless you. But I do also know that PAIN can make people do silly things. I will try and stop her feeling she cannot cope with the costs of the treatment and will cover that if and when I can to ease the pressure. Edited February 28, 2008 by KAZ Link to comment

I come over... you can do an apple cake or a rhubarb pie too if you like, Kaz! Feathers. Can do, but I will have to find some "spare time" They are as cute as…I hope all turns out with things Kaz & life calms down a little for you. Not sure it’s going to be that calm soon but with all those expected visitors wanting cake etc…tell me the date it’s happening & I will see if… Kaz, If you got up just 1 hour earlier you could make me a cake if your REALLY wanted to!!! I don't want to hear your excuses and I don't care if you didn't get to bed last night. Is that really more important than making a cake for ME?? But I do also know that PAIN can make people do silly things. Unrelenting pain is just awful, trust me, I know! I feel so much for her. I don't know what they are planning next, but there are some really good pain specialists in Perth, including a great program in one of our major public hospital. Getting a referral to that program would really help in the cost side of things. Two of my pain meds cost $1,400.00 per month and aren't available on the PBS system, so there is no subsidy for them, but getting them through the public hospital all I pay is $5.00 per month, per medication, regardless of what it is. All her treatments would be free as a public out patient. It would also give her access to a whole pain management team, which is essential. I would not be here if it wasn't for my pain psych and as much as I hate it for the pain it causes, my hydrotherapy really helps. The only problem is the waiting list is over 12 months... the only thing good about my condition is that it is treated as an emergency, so I skipped the waiting list. *HUGE hugz* Miss Kaz, Aly now, what was it we were talking about again? They have turned this house upside down with the antics and mischief, Khan the darker looking one ( blue collar ) is very energetic. He loves to climb and be up high. He can scale the feature bricks in the family room area and get on top of the refrigerator. He doesnt like being on his back for a cuddle, and in fact he hasn't much time for cuddles much unless HE decides he want one...and then you have to stop everything and give him one Chai is a real cuddlepot and he is my kitten. He is also the noisiest whinger. He likes to wrestle with Khan and even though Chai is heavier and start the fight, Khan is smarted and always wins. :hap: Khan and Chai off to the vets tomorrow for some immunisations Link to comment

Are they in the ignore stage and past the hissing? They use Ruskie as something to lean on and wind themselves around his legs. Ruskie plays with them now, but you can see him thinking that they are too fast for him. :hap: Orlando is given respect and a wide berth while he is awake. When Orldando is asleep they can get as close to him as they like and try cosying up for sleep time together. Orlando hisses at them if they move too fast around him ( he has sight issues ) but on occasion he will let either kitten kiss him on the nose. Orlando is close to being worn down to the point of cuddle time and sleeping together Link to comment
