I would like to build some of the cabinets too. Can you tell me how to go about it? I am in construction so I am good with wood I just don't know how to build it. If you have any drawings or anything it might help.

well the breeder I asked says he made his, he bought the cage fronts and teh cage fronts have little pins at the tops and bottoms, in the cabinet you make. Drill small holes to match the fronts pins and slide teh front in. Making sure the pins at teh top are in and the bottom ones to.

Than make a pull out tray at the bottom of each cage so you can clean it...does that help?

Any ideas where i can buy Cage Fronts from?

Looked in 4 pet shops near where I live and no one has them.

Also looking for someone to build be 6 breeding cabinets or to buy in the Melbourne area.

Anyone have any ideas where i can get them from?

Pet shops generally dont carry the more advanced supplies like that. You would need to source a specialised bird place....like over here we have places like Birdworld, City farmers, etc. Also, I have seen some breeder cabinets on ebay, and I am sure there were some in Melbourne. Might be finished now but do a search on ebay and see what comes up.

If you haven’t had any luck with cage fronts, you could try this supplier in Sydney, they will post by mail…Petcare Direct Pty Ltd petcare.direct@bigpond.com I used to buy them at produce stores, but of late none seem to stock them anymore. I got mine from them they have about 18 different sizes.

Sorry forgot poster is in Canada, but information for Aussies looking for cage fronts.

My cage fronts don't have the little wire that goes up into a hole. mine just go on the front on the cage, I use plastic fly screen clips to keep them in place and it makes for very easy cleaning too.
